AFFORDABLE promwear will be on offer for one day only.
The Green Uniform and Baby Bank is holding its ‘one-stop prom shop’ this weekend.
It will give schoolchildren from Winsford and beyond the chance to pick up suits and dresses for a fraction of the price.
Michelle Hawthorne, co-director of GUBB, said: “We were so pleased with last year's event, we have worked to raise funds since then so that we can put this event on again this year.
“It was lovely to see all the young people getting excited, trying on their outfits and chatting with friends about which one looked best.
“We can't wait to do it again, and we are hoping to have even more people to attend this time."
The one-stop prom shop takes place at Winsford Academy this Sunday (April 28) from 2pm to 5pm.
It is free to enter and no ticket is required.
All outfits, including dresses and suits, will be priced at no more than £20 with sizes ranging from UK4 to XL.
There will also be a range of accessories available and you can pay with cash or card, so long as you spend at least £2.
“The aim of this event is to offer Pre-Loved clothing items, alongside a lot that are new to allow people to opportunity to reuse 'wear once' fashion reducing the number of 'wear once' purchases that can be very expensive for a few hours use,” said a GUBB spokesperson.
“We hope that capping the price at £20 per outfit we have made this accessible to all.
“Please do come along and take a look and support us. What do you have to lose? We might just have your perfect outfit hanging on our rails.”
A team from St Luke’s Hospice will also be in attendance, selling a range of promwear and accessories to raise money for the charity.
KidKind will also have a stall, selling personalised prom items at a discounted price.
