A CRASH on a major road connecting Northwich and Knutsford caused serious traffic disruption.
Fire crews from Northwich and Lymm rushed to Chester Road, A556, near Plumley, on Saturday, April 20.
The crash, which involved three cars, happened near the Smoker pub, close to the junction of Chester Road and Plumley Moor Road, at around 16.50pm.
No serious injuries were reported, but the fire service warned of ‘significant tailbacks’ while they attended causalities and made the vehicles safe.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews attended a collision involving three cars near the Smoker public house on the A556.
“They made the vehicles safe and assessed casualties, none of whom are believed to have sustained serious injuries.
“The incident caused significant tailbacks for a time.”
