POLICE in Northwich cracking down on anti-social behaviour.
Officers will be conducting home visits after a spate of calls to 101 over the Easter weekend in the Leftwich and Kingsmead areas.
Over the bank holiday weekend, the force received reports of youths causing damage to property, stealing, displaying intimidating behaviour, and shouting abuse.
Police have described this as ‘completely unacceptable’ and have been reviewing CCTV footage of the incidents after visiting the victims.
Once the offenders have been identified, officers will be making house calls to address the anti-social behaviour in the presence of their parents.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Over the Easter Period we received a number of reports to 101 in regards to anti-social behaviour.
We received reports of a number of youths causing damage to people’s property, taking items from the persons property, shouting abuse, and displaying intimidating behaviour.
“This is completely unacceptable, and officers have conducted reassurance visits to all those who have reported these incidents.
“CCTV footage has been requested of all the incidents and once viewed, we will be looking to identify all those involved.
“Once that has been completed, we will conduct house visits to speak to those who have caused these incidents - with parents present - and will take appropriate action.”
