A MIDDLEWICH man has been banned from the roads after being caught drink-driving.
Anthony Pickup, of Lewin Street, was driving in a Peugeot 206 along Warmingham Road when he was stopped on October 15 last year.
A subsequent blood test revealed the 23-year-old has 111 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of his blood, exceeding the legal limit of 80.
Pickup appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on April 16 where he pleaded guilty to drink-driving.
Taking his plea into account, magistrates disqualified him from driving for 14 months and fined him £120.
He was also ordered to pay the Crown Prosecution Service a further £120 in court costs, as well as a £48 surcharge.
