A NORTHWICH man has appeared in court after cocaine, cash and weapons were discovered in a drugs raid at his home in Northwich.
Richard Grainger, of Hesketh Drive, Lostock Gralam was arrested after officers executed a warrant yesterday, Thursday.
The 46-year-old appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, charged with possession of a class A drug, cocaine and diamorphine, and possession of criminal property.
Grainger pleaded guilty and has been remanded in custody to be sentenced at Chester Crown Court on Friday, May 3.
Detective Sergeant John Lyons said: “Thanks to the evidence against Grainger he has pleaded guilty at the first opportunity.
“The dangers of drugs are well known and I hope the charges secured against him will provide some reassurance to the community that we take offences of this nature seriously.”
