STORM Kathleen is on its way.
Go Ape in Delamere Forest has decided to shut down this weekend with "severe" gales expected.
A spokesperson said: "Unfortunately, we have made the decision to close on Saturday April 6 due to stormy weather conditions.
"All affected customers will be emailed with more information shortly.
"We’re sorry to stop adventures, but safety always comes first."
As of 12.30pm on Friday (April 5) no decision has been made by Go Ape on whether the site will be closed on Sunday as well.
"We are currently monitoring as there is stormy weather forecast this weekend," the spokesperson added.
"If we are forced to close, we will email all affected customers with further information.
"Please do not travel to the forest without checking social media or your emails."
A yellow storm warning has been issued by the Met Office ahead of Storm Kathleen's arrival on Saturday.
While not directly covered, Cheshire is still expected to experience "a very windy day with severe gales".
Chief Meteorologist, Dan Suri, said: “Storm Kathleen will bring strong gusty winds to western areas of the UK through Saturday.
"Gusts of 50 to 60 mph are expected quite widely."
