SIX lucky people are being given the chance to meet some of their boyband idols ahead of this year's Royal Cheshire County Show.

Boyzlife, a supergroup made up of Boyzone's Keith Duffy and Westlife's Brian McFadden, will be headlining Late at the Show this June.

And as a special Easter treat, organisers have launched a competition giving fans the opportunity to attend the show free and meet Keith and Brian.

To take part in the competition, entrants are being asked to comment on the Royal Cheshire County Show's Facebook and Instagram pages with the answer to the question: how many number one singles did Westlife and Boyzone have in total during their careers?  

Six winners will be picked out at random and informed on April 6 via a reply to their comment on the show's official Facebook or Instagram pages.

The 186th edition of the Royal Cheshire County Show will take place across Tuesday, June 18, and Wednesday, June 19, with a host of attractions already confirmed.

These include renowned jousting team The Knights of Nottingham, The Monster Truck Ride, celebrity chefs Jean Christophe Novelli & Tom Ince, the JF Polo Academy and Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon. More are still to be announced.

More than 3,000 animals will be welcomed to the Tabley Showground, including cattle, pigs, sheep, pygmy goats, dogs, heavy horses, light horses and more.

And for first time in the show's history, giant tortoises will be making an appearance.

A show spokeswoman said: "Get ready to marvel at these gentle giants’ sheer size and majestic presence.

"Standing as living relics of prehistoric times, their ancient demeanour exudes a sense of wisdom and serenity that captivates all who encounter them.

"Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness the beauty and splendour of giant tortoises up close at the Cheshire Show.

"Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, animal lover, or simply curious to experience something extraordinary, this is a show not to be missed."

Late at the Show takes place on June 18 in association with Happy Radio, featuring live music from Boyzlife and local support acts, all compered by Happy Radio’s Darren Proctor. Late at the Show commences at 5pm before closing at 10pm.

In addition to the live music, visitors will be able to enjoy artisan food stalls, bars, children’s fairground, a demonstration polo match, tug o’ war competition, face painting and more.

Early bird tickets for the show are still available at £30 per adult or £65 for a family ticket.

Entry into Late at the Show is included in the standard show ticket price or special Late at the Show only tickets can be purchased for just £10 per adult and £25 for a family ticket allowing entry after 5pm on June 18.
