A POLICE dog has been praised after a drugs bust in Northwich.
PD Buddy, a black Labrador, sniffed out a ‘large quantity’ of class A drugs at a house on Pavillion Way in Lostock Gralam on Thursday, March 14.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
A 33-year-old woman was also taken into custody for being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Buddy’s handlers at Cheshire and North Wales Police Dogs said on social media: “On Thursday, Buddy searched an address in Northwich and located a large quantity of class A drugs.
”For him and crew mate, PD Torro, it was a productive set of shifts."
Buddy was called a 'clever boy' by one of his online followers, while another said: "He's a dude."
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “On Thursday, March 14, officers searched an address on Pavillion Way, Northwich.
“A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
“A 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
“Both have been released on unconditional bail.”
