A CASUALTY was extricated from a vehicle following a crash on the motorway.
The accident occurred on the M6 heading northbound between junction 18 for Holmes Chapel and Middlewich and junction 19 for Northwich and Knutsford at Tabley.
Four fire engines from Holmes Chapel, Middlewich, Lymm and Altrincham fire stations attended the incident at 6.19am this morning, Saturday.
This came after Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a single-vehicle collision on the motorway.
Emergency services found that a van had collided with the central reservation.
One casualty was extricated from the vehicle by firefighters and paramedics.
Two lanes on the northbound and southbound carriageways were closed while emergency services were in attendance.
