TIME is running out to win a guitar signed by one of the country’s top rock stars.
There is just one week left to enter a prize draw being held by Sandiway Parent Teacher Association.
One lucky winner will get to claim a one-of-a-kind Fender Dreadnought guitar signed by Courteeners frontman Liam Fray.
Fray, who is friends with a parent at Sandiway Primary School, signed the instrument before his sold-out solo performance at Manchester’s Albert Hall.
“Seize the chance to claim an extraordinary piece of musical history – a one-of-a-kind Fender acoustic guitar autographed by the renowned Courteeners singer-songwriter Liam Fray,” said a spokesperson for Sandiway PTA.
“This exceptional instrument bears the signature of Liam, personally inscribed with the heartfelt words, ‘Lots of Love, Liam Fray.’
“This is a fantastic prize for any music fan in your life. The perfect addition to any Courteeners fan's collection, this masterpiece promises to be the ultimate gift.
“This stunning Fender Dreadnought body is adorned in a captivating black and sunburst finish with a mahogany neck, back, and sides, coupled with a walnut bridge and fingerboard.”
They added: “What's more, your bid isn't just for a remarkable guitar – it's a chance to make a difference.
“Every penny raised through this prize draw will go to Sandiway PTA for the enrichment of the children’s education - specifically music focussed.
“We are hoping to pay for music essential equipment, workshops and lessons with these funds.
“Buy tickets and be a part of this incredible opportunity to own a piece of music history while contributing to a worthy cause.”
So far, £1,600 has been raised thanks to 142 supporters.
Tickets for the prize draw are named after different Courteeners songs and the more you donate, the more entries you receive.
For instance, a £5 donation – ‘The Opener’ will earn you five entries, the £50 ‘Dream a Little Dream’ ticket will get you 85 entries, and the highest pledge option of £350 – ‘Lose Control’ will earn you 1,000 entries.
