AN air ambulance is at the scene of a two-car crash at Oakmere.
Emergency services say that one person trapped in a vehicle was rescued by firefighters, before being passed to the care of paramedics.
The A556 Chester Road is closed in both directions.
The collision happened at the junction of Hogshead Lane at 11.35am this morning, Wednesday.
Police attended and found that the crash involved a silver Mini Cooper and a blue Vauxhall Corsa.
The driver of the other vehicle was checked over by paramedics.
The air ambulance is in attendance.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Both drivers have since been taken to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
One fire engine from Tarporley and one from Northwich are also at the scene.
The 556 and Hogshead Lane were both closed while officers dealt with the incident.
