A MAN has been taken to hospital following a crash.
Emergency services were called to Barnton last night amid reports of a crash on Runcorn Road, between Hole House Lane and Stone Heyes Lane.
North West Ambulance Service have now confirmed that one man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital as a result.
Two fire engines, one each from the Northwich and Lymm stations, arrived at around 7.40pm on Monday (March 4).
Upon arrival, crews found that two cars had been involved in the crash, a black BMW and a red Citroen C1.
"Firefighters administered first aid to one casualty," said a Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
Cheshire Police also attended the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: "There were no reports of any serious injuries, and no arrests were made.
"The road reopened at 9pm."
