A NORTHWICH thief has been jailed after stealing almost £900 worth of booze from a supermarket in a 10-day crime spree.
David Conneely, of Webbs Court, appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on February 23 where he admitted to the thefts and breaching a restraining order.
The 41-year-old targeted Booths supermarket in Stanley Road, Knutsford, on five occasions, between January 10 and January 20.
During his raids, Conneely stole a total of 36 bottles of vodka, bourbon and beer, worth a total of £886.50.
He also entered Church Road in Northwich on two occasions, on February 19 and 22, which he was banned from doing by his restraining order.
Taking his guilty plea into account, magistrates jailed him for a total of 24 weeks.
Conneely was also ordered to pay compensation of £1,228.75 and court costs of £154.
