A POPULAR gym in Northwich is undergoing some major changes.
Namix Performance Centre on Denton Drive is expanding following years of growth.
Having acquired the neighbouring unit, the gym will be adding more equipment and introducing more specialist workshops and courses.
Gym director Chris Wood said: "We are ecstatic to be expanding this month and being able to offer more strength and conditioning classes, rehab-specific workshops and more space for our members to enjoy.
“Our goal has always been to provide a first-class treatment and strength and conditioning gym to everyday clients as if they were elite-level athletes, and this expansion will allow us to continue to do that more effectively.
"We believe in addressing the entire spectrum of fitness – from strength and conditioning to injury prevention and rehabilitation, this integrated approach sets us apart and has been key to our success."
Namix Performance Centre opened in August 2019, with a focus on blending musculoskeletal therapy with strength and conditioning training.
Since then it has enjoyed great success, being crowned 'Mid-Cheshire’s Best Gym' for the second year running in 2023, as voted for by Guardian readers, while also being named a finalist for Regional Gym of the Year North in the National Fitness Awards.

These accolades coupled with growing popularity prompted Namix to expand.
"This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and the incredible support we've received from our gym community," said Tom Merrick, lead trainer at the centre.
"We can't wait to offer our clients an even better experience and help them achieve their fitness goals.”
The expansion will see new equipment installed along with the creation of a new recovery area.
Namix will also be expanding its strength and conditioning class timetable while adding more weekly Pilates and mobility sessions.
To celebrate the expansion, the gym will host a relaunch party on Saturday (March 9) from 12pm to 3pm complete with a live DJ and complimentary taster sessions.
