SUSPECTED shoplifters have been named.
Two men have been charged following a high-value supermarket theft in Northwich.
Cheshire Police were called to reports of a shoplifting offence at Tesco on Manchester Road at 8.40pm on Tuesday (February 13).
Officers stopped a car and found nearly £1,500 worth of food and alcohol, which is believed to have been stolen in a separate offence.
Following the vehicle stop Flaviu Naghi and George Udila were both arrested.
Naghi, of Ashburnham Road in Luton, has now been charged with three counts of theft from a shop, going equipped for theft and possession of class A drugs, namely cocaine.
The 33-year-old has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 15.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Udila, of Rugby Road in Leigh, has been charged with driving without a licence, handling stolen goods and driving without insurance.
He has been released on bail and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, April 19.
