A WINSFORD man who entered his ex’s house at night to take back belongings has denied punching her.
Jamie Condrey, of Bollin Avenue, admits going into her house in Middlewich after dark on August 1, 2023.
His ex-partner told police Condrey had straddled her and punched her several times in the face after he tried to take a phone from her.
Then, when she tried to wrestle the phone back off him, she alleges he punched her in the face again.
Condrey appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 14, where he denied two counts of assault causing actually bodily harm.
Defending, Derek McDonald said the 33-year-old 'admits entering the house at night' but denies assaulting her, adding Condrey himself claims he was the one assaulted.
He was released on conditional bail to return to Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 6, to stand trial.
He was ordered not to contact his ex by any means, or go near her home.
