A MISSING man has been taken to hospital.
A large emergency service presence was called to Northwich last night following reports of a missing man.
Police and ambulance crews arrived in Rudheath at around 6.45pm on Wednesday (February 7), with Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service put on standby.
Following a search, the man was found near the Trent and Mersey Canal on Griffiths Road near the Tata plant.
Officers spoke with the man before handing him over to the care of paramedics.
He was then taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, Cheshire Police have confirmed.
