LOUIE Spence will star in this year’s Easter panto in Northwich.
The popular dancer and TV star will play the Sheriff of Nottingham as the story of Robin Hood graces the stage of Memorial Court in March.
Spence, 54, rose to national fame in 2010 when he hosted the show, Pineapple Dance Studios, having already made his name in the theatre world with roles in West End productions such as Cats and Miss Saigon.
He has since appeared on the likes of Big Brother and Come Dine With Me, as well as being a judge for one series of Dancing on Ice.
Joining Spence in the Easter Panto cast is a number of familiar faces.
Returning from the Christmas line-up is former Britain’s Got Talent winner Ashleigh Butler.
She will be joined by her dog Sully as she takes on the role of Maid Marion.
Fellow Britain’s Got Talent stars, ventriloquist Jamie Leahey and his puppet Chuck will return to Northwich as Little John and Friar Chuck, having performed in the town last year as part of the Rapunzel tour.
Meanwhile, Northwich panto royalty Ryan Greaves will join the cast as Wally Scarlett alongside Easter favourite Kate Salmon as the Fairy.
Further cast announcements are expected soon.
Robin Hood visits Northwich for two days only, Saturday March 23, and Sunday 24, as part of a national tour.
Tickets for the three shows are on sale now at www.brioentertainment.org.
