A LEGENDARY punk band will be bringing their anniversary tour to Cheshire.
From The Jam will take over Northwich Plaza later this year.
The band, featuring Bruce Foxton from the original lineup, will play the iconic venue as part of their Setting Stones tour, celebrating 45 years since the release of the album, which reached number four in the UK charts.
The Jam achieved four number-ones from their debut in 1977 to their breakup in 1982, with A Town Called Malice, Beat Surrender, Going Underground and Start all topping the UK singles charts.
Drummer Rick Buckler then formed The Gift in 2006.
He was later joined by bassist Foxton and they renamed the group From The Jam, joined by Russell Hastings, who replaced Paul Weller as the band’s frontman.
From The Jam announced the Setting Sons tour earlier this week, with the Northwich show one of 30 dates confirmed.
They will be joined by Ruts DC, best known for their top ten hit Babylon’s Burning, and London Calling, a tribute to The Clash.
A Radio Northwich spokesperson said: "These guys have been near the top of our gig wish list for as long as we've had one!
"And so, we are beyond delighted to announce that AGMP in association with Radio Northwich are bringing From The Jam to The Plaza Northwich this October.
"Don't miss this opportunity to see Bruce Foxton and Russell Hastings on part of their UK-wide Setting Sons 45th-anniversary tour."
From The Jam will play at the Plaza on Saturday (October 12).
Tickets go on sale this Friday (February 2) at 10am on seetickets.com, priced at £38.50.
