MUSICAL theatre lovers in Northwich should have their jazz hands at the ready as a little slice of Broadway rolls into town.
Broadway Bound is a dazzling revue of the most iconic Broadway and West End classic numbers, blended with new and exciting songs from some of the most popular shows running in London and New York at the moment.
Running for five performances at the Grange Theatre in Hartford in February, producers say the cast is 'a stellar lineup of professionals and stand-out amateur performers' from Cheshire, and right across the UK.
The show is produced, directed, and choreographed by Welsh musical theatre star and social media influencer, Kayleigh Ann Strong, who came to national attention during lockdown with her YouTube musical medleys of Disney and musical songs whilst dressed as everyone’s favourite characters.
Kayleigh Ann has a wealth of leading roles under her belt, including Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical, and Esmerelda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
She's also appeared in box office-busting shows like Oliver, Anything Goes, and Jekyll and Hyde.
She said: "It’s an absolute dream to be back in rehearsals with the cast after so long.
"It's like being back with the family after a very long time apart.
"As this is our first show since Covid, we wanted it to be bigger and better than ever, and my goodness is it.
“I honestly have to pinch myself at every single rehearsal because all the performers are just something else. I’ve never seen talent like it.
“Every single one of them are at the top of their game, and I just feel so extremely lucky to have them be part of this spectacular show."
"We’re working super hard but having so much fun at the same time.
Broadway Bound will run at the Grange Theatre in Hartford from Wednesday February 7, to Saturday, February 10, at 7pm, with a 2.30pm matinee performance on the Saturday.
Full details can be found on the Grange Theatre website, where tickets can be booked online.
Kayleigh Ann added: “We are definitely one big family who all love to perform together, and it's the absolute best feeling to be able bring the show back.
“I can’t wait for audiences to see what we've got in store for them."
