PRIMARY school children have been spreading festive cheer to residents at a Northwich care home.
The year five 'Magpies' class at Wincham Community Primary School paid a visit to Acorn Meadow Care Home last week.
While at the Manchester Road home in Lostock Gralam, the children entertained the residents by singing carols.
Accompanied by some parents, as well as teacher Laura Miller and deputy head teacher Chris Bounds, who played the guitar, the children thoroughly enjoyed their visit.
Mr Bounds said: "What a lovely morning we had at Acorn Meadow. The children sang so well and lots of residents joined in as well.
"It was great to see the children chatting with the residents afterwards."
Mrs Miller added: "It was lovely for the children to give the residents some of their Christmas pictures and writing too. There were so many smiles."
