TWO men have been hit with fines and restraining orders after attacking another in Northwich.
David Short and Christopher Baldwin appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on December 12 to be sentenced.
The pair had previously, on November 13, pleaded guilty to assault by beating following an incident in the town on March 3 earlier this year.
Thirty-one-year-old Short, of Shores Green Drive, Wincham, and Baldwin, also 31, of Russet Road, Weaverham, were each fined £153 for the offence.
Magistrates, who took the pair's guilty pleas into account when imposing the sentence, also put an 18-month restraining order on them.
This order bans Short and Baldwin from contacting their victim by any means, and from entering a specified street in Weaverham.
No order was made for compensation as the court heard 'a clean break between the parties would benefit all'.
