A BAR has shut down unexpectedly.

Temple Cafe Bar in Northwich town centre has been closed, just two weeks before Christmas.

The decision to close the Witton Street venue was announced in a post on the bar’s Facebook page, written by owner Ross Hyslup.

It read: “This was one of the hardest decisions myself and Ian (Watson) had to make, to close Temple Cafe Bar down!

“In this current climate we just couldn’t afford to keep going on!”

The post continued: “I can safely say the staff were all looked after with extra in there pay as it is Christmas!

“Sorry for any inconvenience to any of our customers and hope someone else can make the place work in the future!”

Attempts have been made to contact the bar for further information about the closure.
