A NEW gym is getting ready to open in Northwich.
Snap Fitness, an international chain of gyms, is set to launch its latest venue.
The 24/7 gym will take over one of the vacant units at Barons Quay, with the company having now announced an opening date of January 2.
Kapil Arora, owner of the franchise, said: “I am excited to be opening my first Snap Fitness Club.
“We chose Northwich because it’s a town that continues to be a place of growth and development and this unit in particular is a great location for a gym, offering incredible views of the Weaver!"
Work is currently underway to transform the Barons Quay unit into a “state-of-the-art fitness facility”.
The Northwich venue will be the chain’s 94th club in the UK and Ireland, with more than 1,000 clubs globally, each of which is individually owned and run.
It will feature a wide range of equipment, two group fitness studios and space for personal training.
A full list of equipment has been shared on the gym’s social media, including various benches, treadmills, cross trainers, pin loaded weight machines, spin bikes and more.
Kevin Yates, chief operating officer of Snap Fitness Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “We are excited to be expanding the Snap Fitness footprint in the UK with Kapil.
“We look forward to seeing him building a strong community within Northwich and supporting his members in delivering against their individual goals.
“Despite the challenges faced with the pandemic, we’ve continued to grow our network, opening almost 30 clubs since early 2020; making us the sixth largest multi-site operator with the third highest openings.”
Snap Fitness will offer rolling monthly memberships, meaning members will not be tied down to long-term contracts.
A pre-sale will open this Wednesday (December 13) at 11am.
Further information can be found on the club’s Facebook and Instagram pages or via www.snapfitness.com/uk/gym/northwich.
