A POLICE helicopter was seen circling over Northwich.

Cheshire Police were alerted to reports of a missing man in Weaverham on Sunday (December 10).

Officers began their search around 5pm and were assisted by a police helicopter.

After hours of looking police eventually located the man, shortly after 9pm.

A spokesperson for the force said: “At around 5pm on Sunday police were called to reports of a missing man in Weaverham.

“Local officers, supported by the police helicopter, conducted a search of the area and the man was located safe and well shortly after 9pm.”
