A NORTHWICH woman has avoided jail despite being caught growing cannabis and being concerned in its supply.
Andriana Levesey, of no fixed abode in Barnton, appeared at Chester Crown Court on December 5 after previously pleading guilty to both charges.
The court heard the 26-year-old was concerned in the supply of cannabis for more than a year between May 26, 2022, and June 18 this year.
On August 25 last year, Levesey was caught growing 24 cannabis plants in Barnton.
Judge Simon Berkson sentenced Levesey to a total of 16 months imprisonment, but suspended the term for 18 months.
A supervision period was also imposed, requiring the defendant to return to court monthly for review hearings
She must also complete up to 35 days of rehabilitation activity and 150 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
