A CHILDREN'S play area has been forced to closed due to a fallen tree.
Marbury Park’s play area will be shut until further notice pending an inspection of the site to to determine what needs to be done to make it safe.
The play area only opened in July 2022 after a four-year project which saw residents secure a £100,000 grant from the FCC Communities Fund to get it completed.
The area includes play equipment, picnic tables, and outdoor seating, and is themed to offer some interpretation of the history of the site, through play.
A spokesman for Cheshire West and Chester Council said: “The play area at Marbury Park is currently closed for safety reasons due to a fallen tree.
“We are investigating, and the play area will be re-open once it is safe to do so.”
