CHRISTMAS has come early in Northwich, with the return of the ice rink.
Back for its fourth year, bookings for ice skating are now open.
With the rink opening for two days (Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November), organisers are expecting a sell-out.
The rink will be inside a marquee, ensuring the fun can go ahead no matter the weather, and will be made of a “realistic alternative to real ice”.
The manufacturer stated: “In a world where energy efficiency and global warming have become a real concern our product is energy conscious and environmentally friendly.
“With Super-Glide you get a true real alternative to wet ice but with none of the damage to the atmosphere associated with global warming.”
Alongside the rink will also be a licenced bar, festoon lighting and music.
From 6pm each day skaters will be able to enjoy themed sessions featuring the sounds of the 80s, 90s, noughties and Motown.
Each session will last 30 minutes, with guests advised to arrive in advance of their scheduled time to collect skates.
Visit Northwich have said that advance booking is required and remind that tickets are non-refundable or transferable.
“Skate your way to Christmas in Northwich,” said a spokesperson.
“Bookings for our Christmas Ice Rink are now open.
“Head to visitnorthwich.co.uk/rink/ to book your session, get your skates on though, tickets sell out in advance every year.”
