A NORTHWICH woman has been banned from the roads after being caught more than three times the drug-drive limit.
Alison Parks-Smith, of Hadrian Way, Cuddington, was travelling along the A49 Warrington Road on April 25 when she was caught earlier this year.
A subsequent test revealed the 45-year-old had at least 167µg/l of Benzoylecgonine, a breakdown product of cocaine, per litre of her blood.
The legal limit is 50µg/l.
Parks-Smith appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on October 27 where she pleaded guilty to drug-driving.
Taking her plea into account, magistrates disqualified her from driving for 12 months and fined her £120.
She was also ordered to pay a further £120 in court costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £48 surcharge.
