TRANS girls will take to the stage in aid of an important cause.
Northwich Sauna will host a T-girl pageant to support cancer-battling regulars.
Money raised from the event will go to St Luke’s Hospice, a charity close to the hearts of many who work at the sauna, which claims to be the “UK’s largest leisure facility for gay, bisexual and curious men”.
Staff member Julie Anne said: “We picked St Luke's as cancer seems to be affecting more and more people’s lives and we are becoming more aware of the impact of cancer within our 'sauna family' and we wanted to help a local charity with our event so St Luke's seemed an obvious choice.
“I also lost both of my parents to cancer and St Luke's were really good with us when my dad was ill.”
The pageant will take place on Friday (November 10), when Miss Sauna Sauna will be crowned.
Judging the competition will be sauna manager Max Hunter, Ella Leigh, and Thomas Hartley from Married at First Sight UK, who now performs as a drag queen under the name Pam Sandwich.

Max, who has been in charge for just over a year, is hoping that events like this, and a ghost hunt they are running on Halloween, will help change people's perceptions of the sauna.
He said: “The main aim of the event is to express the social side and the inclusivity of our club.
“The pageant will attract the crossdressing community from across the country and is an opportunity for the community to express themselves in a way they may have not had the opportunity to do so before.
“There are a number of our crossdressers who unfortunately are battling cancer and they use the sauna as an outlet to have some time away from what they are currently dealing with.”
Max added: “More than anything this is a safe space.
“For example, we’ve got a chap in his 80s. Back in his days it was frowned upon to be a gay man, so he could never be himself. But now he gets two buses and two trains to come here.
“What goes on upstairs is down to people’s own discretion, but we are noticing more and more people coming just to socialise in our bar area.”
