Fireworks displays across Mid Cheshire this Bonfire Night

Whether you want to splash out on one of the county’s fireworks extravaganzas or prefer something a bit closer to home and community orientated, you’re bound to find what your looking for.

Families and children of all ages are welcome at these events, and most offer food, drink, and a wealth of other attractions.

Here’s a list of stand-out bonfire parties and firework displays to fit all tastes and budgets.

Some advise visitors to book in advance.

Northwich Firefest 2023 (Verdin Park)

Saturday, November 4 – from 5.30pm (display starts at 7.15pm)

With bonefire, funfair, fireworks, and food and drink, Firefest 2023 is a great all-round family event just a short walk from Northwich town centre.  

Northwich Radio will also be on hand with musical accompaniment.

Tickets are £10 for adults; £5 for under 16s; free for under threes. 

Blakemere Fireworks Display

Saturday, November 4 – from 5.15pm (display starts at 7pm)

With fireworks from Northwich-based Ignite Pyrotechnics, the events will see the skies lit up above the rolling Cheshire countryside.

Food and drinks are available, as well as fairground attractions.

Ticket prices are: under 10s, £6.50; 10 and over, £9.50; Under twos are free.

Middlewich Cricket Club Fireworks Spectacular

Saturday, November 4 – 6pm

Very much a community tradition in the town, this is the place to go if you want to get some of the old-school Guys Fawks Night vibes. Feel the warmth of the fire as you watch the electrifying display.

Three and unders are free; 17s and under, £4.40; adults, £8.80

Wilmslow Bonfire

Saturday, November 4 – from 4.30pm (displays 6.45pm and 7.30pm)

This years display will be 90s-themed, with fireworks set to dance classics.

If the bonfire isn’t enough to keep the cold our, there’s also a beer tent and a gin and prosecco bar. Classy.

Advanced tickets are £25 for a family of 4, £8.50 for adults and £5.50 for children, rising to £33, £11.50 and £7.50 respectively on the night. Under 4's are free.

Knutsford Scouts Bonfire

Saturday, November 4 – from 6.30pm (display 7.30pm)

Running for more than 40 years ago, organisers call this Knutsford’s ‘biggest and best’ display.

Join the scouts at Booths Park for their ‘huge’ bonfire, fireworks, food, mulled wine, and more.

Tickets cost £8; under 5s are free.

Gulliver’s World - Warrington

Saturday, November 4 – open from midday (display 7.30pm)

Organisers invite you to ‘enjoy hours of theme park rides, attractions, and entertainment, complete with a spectacular fireworks display in the evening’.

Adults and children, £23. Concessions, £19. Children under 90cms tall are free.

Spooky World - Warrington

Sunday, November 5 – from 6.30pm (display 7.45pm)

All ages are welcome to come and enjoy Spooky World’s ‘huge’ bonfire and fireworks display on farmland in Stretton, close to Warrington. WA4 4NW

All tickets are £11. Arrive early to avoid the queues.

Bolesworth Castle – Tattenhall

Saturday, October 29 – 5.30pm

If you’re willing to travel a bit further, you could try ‘Cheshire’s most spectacular’ fireworks display, where organisers plans to ‘illuminate the autumn sky like never before’.

There’ll be firepits to keep warm and toast marshmallows, a hog roast, and much more.

Adults, £13.45; 12 and under, £9; under threes are free.
