MIDDLEWICH High School has closed today and all pupils sent home following a fall in water pressure.
Parents were alerted on social media about a 'loss of water'.
The school on King Edward Street told The Guardian that the school had closed and pupils had been sent home.
A spokesman for United Utilities said: “Following a call from Middlewich High School about poor pressure impacting their water supply.
"Our teams were quickly on site to investigate and resolve the issue.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The water supply has now been restored.
Middlewich High School posted on social media: "We are pleased to let you know that our water supply has been restored and we will be open as normal tomorrow, Friday, October 6.
"We look forward to welcoming staff and students back on site tomorrow morning."
