A FORMER Northwich schoolboy has landed a role in one of the West End’s most famous musicals.
Will Callan, once a pupil as Sir John Deane’s, made his West End debut last week after landing a role in Les Miserables.
He returned to the role of Marius, having starred in the production during a recent tour of UK and Ireland.
Rebecca Homer, head of performing arts at Sir John Deane’s, couldn’t be happier to see one of her former pupils flourishing in life after the classroom.
“We are absolutely thrilled to see Will make his West End debut this week,” she said.
“As a department we went to see him perform on his UK tour and were blown away by his maturity amongst seasoned professionals.
“He was a stand-out student, studying A levels in drama and theatre and music technology and a BTEC in performing arts, so it’s no surprised to see him following his passion on stage.
“We wish him the best of luck and we’ll be keeping a close eye on his career to see what he does next.”
Will will be performing in Les Miserables at the Sondheim Theatre until March 2024.
