POLICE will question “any youths” who visit a play area amid reports of anti-social behaviour.
Davenham and Moulton Police are looking to stamp out ASB at Old Hall Road Play Area in Leftwich.
Officers say they have been told about youths smashing glass bottles and burning items at the park.
As such, police are to increase patrols in the area and have said they will question any youths who visit the park in the evening.
A spokesperson for Davenham and Moulton police said: “Over the past couple of weeks we have received information that relates to anti-social behaviour occurring within Old Hall Road Play Area.
“We have been told about glass bottles being smashed, items being burnt and items being vandalised.
“Going forward, evening patrols will occur around the park and any youths in the park will be questioned and advised of the issues occurring.
“Tonight (September 28) three youths were in the park and PCSO Lee (Robertson) had a chat to them all, and all youths provided details.
“Details were taken by PCSO Lee in case there was any ASB incidents, which the youths fully understood.”
