NINETIES music fans in Northwich still have a chance to party like it’s 1999, but they'd better be quick.
A handful tickets are still available for We Are Ten, a one-off gig at the Plaza next month, which brings together three legends of the 90s music scene.
The event features John Power, bass player of iconic Liverpool 90s band The La’s and frontman of Cast, and Chris Helme, lead singer of alternative rock band The Seahorses, formed by Stone Roses guitarist, John Squire, in 1996.
And if you've got room for even more 90s nostalgia, there'll be a late-night DJ set from legendary Mancunian and former Inspiral Carpets keyboard player, Clint Boon, as well as music from up-and-coming Northwich band, Gas Kunst.
The party marks the tenth birthday of Tiny Steps, a local charity supporting families of children with additional needs.
Tiny Steps trustee and event organiser, Scott Burstow, said: “I’m always in awe of the musicians who want to help us, particularly as we’re a small charity, and these guys are all still touring and doing festivals.
“Bringing names like John Power, Chris Helme and Clint Boon to Northwich is also great for the town, and Clint especially has been unbelievable in his support for me and the charity.
“We’ve been celebrating Tiny Steps hitting ten years old this year with loads of different events.
“We have already had a sell-out party at the Grape and Bean in Northwich, which was brilliant, and now our focus is on the big event at the Plaza on Saturday, October 21.
“Ticket sales have been incredible. We’ve got visitors coming from as far as Glasgow to Bournemouth, which is just brilliant for our little town.
“We’ve had some incredible events over the last six or seven years, but this is going to top them all in terms of ticket sales.
“We have about 40 tickets left, so I’d advise people to buy as soon as you can to avoid disappointment."
The party starts at 7pm on Saturday, October 21, at Northwich Plaza on Witton Street, with all the proceeds going to Tiny Steps.
Tickets are a snip at just £22, and are available to buy now at wegottickets.com/tinysteps.
Scott added: "The end goal of our fundraising is to get a ‘forever home’ for the charity, including a unique sensory play room.
"We're not too far away from it, and it will be a huge boost to the town and the families who live here."
