A CAR caught fire after a crash on a main road into Northwich.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Davenham Bypass this morning (September 22) following reports of a crash.
Two engines, one each from Northwich and Winsford, arrived shortly after 8.30am to find that three cars had been involved in the collision.
As a result of the crash, one of the cars caught on fire.
The crews had to use a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
The road, the A533, had to be closed while the incident was dealt with.
Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service have been contacted for further information.
