POLICE have named two Northwich men charged with serious drug offences after a sting at a railway station.

Roy Ashbrook, 42, and Daniel Dunne, 29, were arrested at Hartford train station on Monday, September 18.

A 57-year-old man was also arrested, but has been released on conditional bail.

Both Ashbrook, of Nicholas Avenue, Rudheath, and Dunne, of Victoria Road, Northwich, have been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

Dunne has also been charged with possession with intent to supply heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis.

Both men are in police custody and will appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court later today, Wednesday.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Two men who were arrested as part of a county lines drugs operation in Northwich have been charged.

"Roy Ashbrook and Daniel Dunne were both arrested on Monday, September 18, at Hartford train station.

"Ashbrook has been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine).

"Dunne has been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine), possession with intent to supply class A drugs (crack cocaine) and possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis).

"Both men have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court later today, Wednesday, September 20.

"A 57-year-old man arrested as part of the operation has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries."

Detective Sergeant John Lyons, of Northwich Local Policing Unit, said: “These arrests are part of our ongoing efforts to tackle organised crime and make Cheshire a hostile place for criminals."
