HERITAGE enthusiasts are being invited to a special open day at an ancient church in Winsford.
St Chad's Church in Over, which dates back to 1307, is holding a its 'Tea at the Tower' event on Sunday, September 10, for people to take a look around the building.
The church will open at midday, with the event, organised as part of Heritage Open Days, running until 4pm.
Visitors will be able to take tours of the church, its bell ringing chamber and, weather permitting, climb all 89 steps to the top of its bell tower.
Bell ringing demonstrations will also take place between 1pm and 3pm.
Entry is free with tea and coffee available alongside some homemade cakes.
There will also be a display of St Chad's Church in pictures, photographs and memories, for visitors to take a look at.
