A BAND named after a Bolton Wanderers Legend is set to return to Northwich.
Ivan Campo, an indie folk trio, will play at Davenham Theatre later this year.
The band will take to the stage alongside support act, Greg Oldfied, on September 29.
Founding member, Ben Atha, said: “We're looking forward to being back at Davenham Theatre and to be playing alongside Greg Oldfield again.
“It's a lovely, welcoming space with just the right atmosphere for an intimate gig.”
Ivan Campo, comprised of Ben, Adam Shaw and Will Rogers, named themselves after the Spanish international footballer, who also played for the likes of Real Madrid, Valencia and Ipswich.
The trio met in Preston whilst studying contemporary music at the University of Central Lancashire in 2004.
They were first introduced to a wider audience in 2010 when their song, The Great Procrastinator, featured in the season four of the television series Skins.
The group gathered more attention when Ben was invited to go to Los Angeles in 2016 to play James Bond in the Epic Rap Battles of History YouTube series.
Their last album, Season of the King released in 2017, secured the band a fourth live session on BBC 6 Music, as well as a special appearance on prime-time Spanish TV programme, Late Motiv, performing The Bloodhound and the Fox.
This year they released a new single, TIME, as they continue to record their next album, which will be a collection of songs based on episodes of Rod Serling's 'The Twilight Zone'.
Ivan Campo performed in the Northwich area twice last year and more recently embarked on a tour of mainland Spain.
They will be joined for their show in Davenham by Widnes-born singer-songwriter Greg Oldfield, formerly of Great and Lady Soul.
