THE education trust behind Winsford Academy has launched an investigation into alleged incidents on the school's prom night.
Year 11 students from the Grange Lane academy enjoyed a celebratory evening on June 30 to mark their end of their school life.
But allegations have been made about incidents involving staff members that reportedly took place during the event, which was held at the Willington Hall hotel near Tarporley.
For legal reasons, we cannot disclose the nature of the allegations at this time.
Now, the Fallibroome Trust, which runs Winsford Academy, has confirmed it is looking into the 'rumours' about the incidents.
A spokesperson for The Fallibroome Trust said: "We are aware of rumours circulating, and are currently working with The Winsford Academy to establish the facts.
"This process will be managed in accordance with Trust policy."
The Trust refused to confirm if any staff members had been suspended pending the investigation.
