VISITORS to the Royal Cheshire County Show will be treated to a concert for the whole family this year.
The Cheshire Show has unveiled ‘Live! At the Show’ - a free concert for everyone attending on Tuesday, June 20.
The show is a big event in the Cheshire calendar, offering visitors the chance to browse countless stalls and trade stands, sample food and drink, plus witness a variety of competitions and shows - ranging from cattle, sheep, and pigs, to horse show jumping, dog shows, and even the best eggs.
Live! At the Show will be hosted by Darren Proctor and Lauren Simon of Happy Radio and there is an exciting line-up of talent, including Odyssey – renowned for disco and soul-infused hits like ‘Native New Yorker’ and ‘Use It Up and Wear It Out’ - plus Katrina (formerly of Katrina and the Waves), winner of the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest.
There will also be Five Star, helping you relive the magic of 80s soul-pop, and Brother Beyond, a beloved 80s boyband.
Live! At the Show is a celebration for the whole family, so the funfair will remain open throughout the concert, as well as offering free face painting for children.
In addition to the music, the food stalls will remain, allowing people to indulge in a culinary adventure that complements the music experience.
Tickets for this year’s Royal Cheshire County Show can be purchased in advance at a discount from the show website.
Everyone purchasing a ticket and attending on June 20 will be entitled to free entry into Live! At the Show, which will commence at 6pm.
Alternatively, tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate on the day of the event, providing flexibility for those who prefer to decide last minute.
Attending the Cheshire Show during the day is not a requirement to enjoy the Live! At the Show.
Those who wish to just attend the concert can purchase tickets at royalcheshireshow.org.
Rob Davenport, show director, said: “Live! At the Show represents The Royal Cheshire County Show’s commitment to celebrating 185 years of the show.
“It is also a sign of appreciation to our valued customers for their continued support, especially during hard economic times.
“The exceptional live music experience, which will leave all attendees enthralled, is free to all those attending the show on Tuesday, June 20.”
