WHEN you love your job now just as much as you did when you started 11 years ago, you know you’re onto a winner.
And Simon Daniels is definitely winning this year after taking Mid Cheshire’s Best for Fitness 2023!
Each week, we will be searching for the best Mid Cheshire has to offer in different categories.
Oliver Gibney Hairdressing took the first Best of 2023 title – Best for Hair in Mid Cheshire – and Ka Pie is officially Best for Pies with Samantha Dean Nails and Makeup being crowned Best for Nails.
The Red Lion in Little Budworth is Best for Roast Dinner, Grape and Bean was announced as Best for Cocktails and Kanya Bistro and Bar is Best for Breakfast.
Voting for Mid Cheshire’s Best for Fish and Chips is currently taking place and we’re also looking for nominations in our latest search - Best for Tattoos.
Next up was fitness and Simon Daniels beat off some healthy competition from nine other fitness and gym instructors to take the title.
The 28-year-old from Winsford is a personal trainer based at Puregym in Northwich.
He has been in the fitness industry since leaving school and he says it’s the one thing in life that he excels at.
Simon said: “I have a personal training business that specialises in making people their best selves both physically and mentally.
“I work one to one on the gym floor and online providing training and nutritional guidance for clients, while holding them accountable for their life choices and lifestyle.
“I try to mould them into the most mentally resilient and physiologically robust versions of themselves.
“It’s the one thing in life I excel at and I love it just as much now 11 years later.”
But what do Simon’s clients think about him and his personal training sessions? Why did they think he should take home our latest Best of 2023 title?
One recommendation said: “He understands what I need and explains everything like no personal trainer I’ve ever had.”
Simon said: “It helps a lot of people become happier and more confident.
“It’s very rewarding to have such an impact on someone’s life.
“I backflip through hoops for my clients and I genuinely care about them.
“I work my bum off every day but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
He added: “I was truly honoured and very proud to make the shortlist especially as it was my clients who wanted to nominate me.
“I was buzzing when I found out I’d won.
“This means the world to me and I’d like to thank my amazing clients for all their votes and support.”
