A POPULAR building society will be relocating its branch in Winsford later this summer due the town centre's ongoing regeneration.
The Nationwide Building Society, currently in Dene Drive, will close its doors on Monday, August 7, to prepare for the move.
Following the relocation, the branch will then reopen at Unit 1a in the Winsford Cross Shopping Centre on Thursday, September 21.
The £21 million regeneration of Winsford town centre began last month and will see some buildings demolished, with new and improved spaces for B&M and Costa Coffee being built, along with a new 168-space car park.
Mandy Beech, director of retail services at Nationwide Building Society, said: "Branches continue to play an important role for Nationwide Building Society by providing members with valued face-to-face service.
"This investment into Winsford branch demonstrates the building society’s continued commitment to serve Winsford and Britain’s communities.
"At Nationwide we believe branches have never been more important, particularly as customers continue to struggle with the cost-of-living.
“If members have any questions, they should visit or phone our Winsford branch on 0345 605 1289 where colleagues are on hand and ready to help.
"This number will go to our Middlewich branch in the brief period between the old branch closing and new one opening."
The Middlewich branch of Nationwide can be found at 40/42 Wheelock Street and is open 9am to 4.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
