VISITORS to Little Bumbles Pre-School near Tarporley were greeted to a sea of red, white and blue this week as children and staff celebrated the Coronation.
Earlier today, King Charles III was officially crowned at Westminster Abbey in a historic day for the country.
Coronation fever has gripped many schools and nursery across the UK, including here in Cheshire.
Youngsters at Little Bumbles have been getting into the spirit this week before enjoying their very own Royal Picnic in the Park at Little Budworth.
Pre-school manager Samantha Edge said: "We have had a very interesting and exciting week learning all about the King's Coronation.
"The children have been exploring what a Coronation is and have produced lots of lovely crafts and art work such as flags, crowns and bunting.
"The week ended by the children, their families and staff all meeting at Little Budworth play area for their very own Royal Picnic in the Park.
"We all wore red, white and blue enjoyed a delicious picnic. The children played games and sung their own Coronation song that they have been practising.
"The weather was kind and we just escaped the showers!
"The children have had a great week and learnt so much about this momentous occasion."
Little Bumbles Pre-School is based on the grounds of Eaton Primary School, near Tarporley and caters for children, aged from two years old until they start primary school.
