A MAN has been hit with a £500 court bill after damaging a police cell.
Matthew Finney, of Tiffield Court, Winsford, appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on April 13 to face a charge of causing criminal damage.
The charge related to an incident at the Cheshire Police Custody Suite in Pochin Way, Middlewich, on January 4 earlier this year.
The 42-year-old pleaded guilty to the charge.
Taking his plea into account, magistrates fined Finney £266 and ordered him to pay £50 in compensation to the police.
He was also ordered to pay £120 in court costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a surcharge of £106.
