ORGANISERS of the Royal Cheshire County Show are promising this year's event will be 'bigger and better than ever' as it celebrates its 185th anniversary.

Taking place at the Tabley Showground on June 20 and 21, the event will showcase some of Cheshire's finest agricultural and rural heritage.

Away from the superb produce and livestock on show, there will be activities and performance to enchant and captivate visitors across the two days.

One highlight this year will be the 'Extreme Bike Battle' - a heart-stopping display of stunt riding which promises to leave audiences on the edge of their seats.

With performances scheduled throughout the day, visitors can witness the incredible skills of these talented riders as they defy gravity and push the limits of what's possible on two wheels.

New for this year is 'Live! At the Show!' - a showcase of music performances boasting a line-up including 70s and 80s chart-toppers Odyssey, Eurovision Song Contest winner Katrina (of Katrina and the Waves), 80s soul-pop favourites Five Star and boy band Brother Beyond.

There will be free access to the concert, which will be held on a specially built stage, for everyone attending on Tuesday, June 20.

Anyone holding or purchasing an annual membership of the Cheshire Agricultural Society will be able to access both days of the county show and concert.

For foodies, world-renowned chefs Jean-Christophe Novelli, Ellis Barrie, Brian Mellor and Mark Price will be on hand to show-off their culinary expertise with live demonstrations, tastings and talks.

This year's event will also feature the incredible horsemanship of the Atkinson Action Horses, renowned for their thrilling displays.

This professional stunt and trick-riding team has captivated audiences across the UK and beyond with their impressive performances.

The team comprises talented riders and horses, showcasing precision riding, high-speed stunts, and breathtaking horsemanship, all accompanied by an exhilarating musical score.
