IN true Bank Holiday fashion, you may feel like swapping out tonight's Sunday roast for a Chinese takeaway.
We're spoilt for choice in Warrington with a great selection of Chinese restaurants and takeaways across the town.
So to help you to decide where to go, we have put together a list of five of the highest-rated ones on Tripadvisor:
1. Mr Laus Dim Sum Bar and Restaurant
The family-run business on Springfield Street in the town centre is rated as Warrington’s best Chinese restaurant, according to Tripadvisor.
Rated 4.5 over all, it was named as the website’s Travellers’ Choice 2022.
It also has the same impressive rating for food, service value and atmosphere.
Many customer have took to TripAdvisor to praise the restaurant – describing it as ‘outstanding’, and ‘the best restaurant in Warrington’.
2. Choy Hing Village
The Choy Hing Village is also highly rated at 4.5.
The restaurant, which is located on Knutsford Road in Grappenhall, serves authentic Peking, Thai and Cantonese cuisine.
And like Mr Laus, it was also named Travellers’ Choice in 2022.
‘Nothing can top’ The Choy Hing, say some reviewers.
3. Tao
With a five-star rating, Tao is third highest ranked Chinese restaurant in Warrington.
Located on Padgate Lane, the restaurant has left diners ‘blown away’.
“Gorgeous, tasty food that is presented beautifully,” one reviewer said.
It also received Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice 2022.
4. Jin Tao
This Latchford venue is a ‘great Chinese takeaway’ with ‘excellent food’ according to Tripadvisor reviews.
One reviewer has even described it as the ‘the best takeaway in Warrington’.
“Everything is perfect, wonderful staff and great food,” they said.
Jin Tao, based on Knutsford Road, has a four-and-a-half star rating on Tripadvisor.
5. Maplewood Restaurant
Maplewood Restaurant on Warrington Road is a popular Chinese food option in Warrington.
Not only is it rated four stars on Tripadvisor, but it was also named as the website’s Travellers Choice 2022.
Many reviewers ‘can’t fault’ the Maplewood where the food is ‘consistently lovely’.
It is also praised for its gluten-free options.
