A NEW art exhibition is launching in Northwich which will give artists an opportunity to showcase their work to the public.
Northwich Art Shop and Visual Arts Cheshire (VAC) have joined forces to organise a Spring Open Exhibition, opening on April 13.
Located in VAC's pop up gallery in Barons Quay, the exhibition will run until May 13 and is open to anyone over 16 to enter their work.
Up to three pieces of artwork can be submitted and selected pieces will be included in the exhibition and put on sale to the general public.
Northwich Art Shop owner Phil Bower said: "We are excited to work with Visual Arts Cheshire to deliver this Spring Open exhibition.
"We hope that it gives our many creative artists and makers an opportunity to share their work with the public."
"This is the first Spring Open we have organised," said Phil Carswell, from Visual Arts Cheshire.
"We hope it will be a great addition to our programme at the gallery.
"The Northwich Art Shop has been a huge supporter of VAC over the years and we have collaborated on a number of occasions and we are looking forward to developing this new offer to our local artists."
Entries are now open for the exhibition and details on how to submit work can be found here.
Anyone with a general enquiry is asked to email visualartscheshire@gmail.com. Entries close on Friday, March 17.
A wide variety of artists and makers are being encouraged to enter their works, including (but not limited to) painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, glass work and textiles.
VAC will also be hosting its Annual Art Trail in July so artists will have a second opportunity to enter work if they are not successful in getting all their work in the Spring Open.
