A 29-YEAR-OLD man has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after using threatening behaviour which was racially aggravated.
Alan Bentley, of Hatton Lane, Northwich, pleaded guilty to two offences – both of which were racially aggravated.
On December 23, Chester Magistrates Court heard Bentley used ‘threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour’ causing a person ‘harassment, alarm or distress’.
He also admitted damaging a door ‘without lawful excuse’, belonging to the same person.
Both offences took place on June 27, 2022.
Taking into account Bentley’s guilty plea, magistrates sentenced him to 200 hours of unpaid work.
He must also pay £250 in compensation.
