HIGH school pupils have been honoured for their ‘outstanding achievements’ over the past five years.
Thursday, November 24 saw Hartford CE High School students honoured in a Certificate Evening for the class of 2017 to 2022.
This served as a celebration of their outstanding achievements in all aspects of their life in school over the previous five years.
Prizes were given out by the guest of honour, Mike Amesbury MP who also addressed the audience.
Headteacher Mike Holland paid tribute to the students.
He told them: “I cannot praise you highly enough for your approach over the past three years.
“In completely unprecedented and hugely challenging circumstances you were determined to make the best of things.
“Your commitment and dedication reflect so well on you as individuals and as a year group.
“The challenges that you overcame were different to any other group of students we have worked with.
“This is the last day of your journey of 1,000 days at high school.
“We go to our high school for 1000 days and you made the most of yours; I am really proud of you – you are the reason I have a job and the reason I love my job so much.
“We set out to give our students the love, care and support they need to ensure that you leave us as well-rounded individuals – fit for the world; understanding Caritas et Veritas – understanding God’s love and truth.
“You have done yourselves, your families, and your school proud. You should cherish your memories.”
